How long does Staxyn take to work?

Staxyn is an FDA-approved medication used to treat erectile dysfunction. For most men, it takes about 15 minutes for Staxyn to start working. Staxyn can become effective more quickly than most other erectile dysfunction medications because it dissolves under the tongue and enters the bloodstream faster than a typical tablet.

In general, it’s a good idea to take Staxyn about 60 minutes before sexual activity. Simply place the medication underneath your tongue and allow it to dissolve completely. Staxyn is recommended for men who aren’t able to swallow whole tablets. You can take Staxyn on a full or empty stomach, but don’t take it with liquid. Never take more than one dose in a 24-hour period.

Staxyn will not give you an erection instantly; you must be sexually stimulated. Each dose is effective for approximately 6 hours. If you have an erection that lasts more than 4 hours, seek medical attention immediately.
